My Lip Products Favourites

My favourite part of putting on make up is choosing what lip product I want to use. I have a few lip products that I use all the time and I though I would share them with you. I always find it hard to find the right shade and consistency in a lip product, so when I find one it is usually worn to death and then repurchased. I find there are a few brands that I usually stick too as they are reliable and you get exactly what you pay for.

I have chosen two lipstick, a lip gloss and a lacquer balm that I absolutely love. Some I have owned for years and other are recent purchases but they are all worn a lot. So lets take a look.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine : 54 Boy

I have only just purchased this lipstick in the last month but absolutely adore it. The colour is a beautiful pinky nude with a slight shimmer to it. This lipstick is extremely hydrating and your lips feel moisturised throughout the day. I was also really impressed with how long the lipstick lasted for, I actually graduated this week and I wore it all day, even with food and drink the lipstick lasted till I took it off in the evening. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high quality lipstick that really lasts. Chanel lipstick is quite pricey but I think this lipstick is worth ever penny. This lipstick comes in a variety of different shades with something to suit everyone.

My Little Box Rouge and levres: red/pink

This next lipstick came in a My Little Box Beauty Box and I feel it is a great statement lipstick. I normally stick to nude or light pink lipsticks but occasionally I like to make a statement through my lip colour and this one is perfect for me. I have fair skin so having a orangey/red does not suit my skin tone. However, this lipstick is red with a hint of pink in it, which really suits me. This lipstick is a great product to layer with, from a sheer tint to a block colour. I love the way this lipstick is so versatile and a really pretty colour.

Liz Earle Coloured Sheer Lip Gloss : Berry

This is a really nice lip gloss, which I own two of, one in another colour. I have written a blog post about Liz Earle skincare My Skincare Must Haves and it explains how much I love Liz Earle products and how good they are. Having tried their lip glosses, they definitely meet my standard. They have a really nice consistency and are so easy to apply onto your lips. Depending on how much product you apply you can get a sheer coverage or a block colour, which is great for creating any look. Liz Earle lip glosses are about £13.50 but I feel they are worth the price. I have had this lip gloss for a few years and it hasn’t dried out or become clumpy at all. I have also found that they don’t separate after a long time of no usage, which is perfect as sometimes you want lip gloss to last.

Revlon Colourburst Lacquer Balm : 105 Demure

This is a new find for me and I am so glad I tried it out. I use to have a Soap and Glory chubby stick that was then discontinued and I was so upset. So I then went on the hunt for a new crayon lip product. When I found this Revlon Lacquer Balm I fell in love with the colour immediately. This pinky nude colour has a high shine finish and also a shimmer to it. This lip product is super moisturising and has a really long staying power. This lip lacquer balm contains Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter, which helps with the moisurising aspect of the product. I find the best way to use this is to apply a small layer to your lips, if you apply too much then it looks very shimmery and a huge amount of pink. This product would look lovely over a matte liquid lipstick. I am also obsessed with the smell as it smells of mint chocolate, which also means it’s very tempting to eat as I love mint chocolate.

So these are my 4 favourite lip products at the moment, from high street to high end beauty. Hopefully this will give you some idea of what brands to look at if you are stuck for a good lip stick, gloss or lacquer balm. What is your favorite lip product at the moment?
