Summer Holiday Favourites

My holiday is sadly coming to an end on Friday so I thought I would do a blog post on what I have been loving this summer holiday. I have mix of beauty, skincare and jewelry, so lets jump into it.

Starting off with skincare products:

Liz Earle: Cleanse and Polish

Liz Earle: Sheer Lip Gloss (Petal)

My Little Beauty Box: Eau Micellaire

These have been my favourite skincare and make up products this holiday. Liz Earle is one of my absolute favourite brand and their Cleanse and Polish is amazing. When I’m on holiday I am always wearing suntan lotion, as I have fair skin, and at the end of a long hot day your skin feels clean and refreshed after using it. I have been using this product every few days to give my skin a proper cleanse and clean.

On the other days I have been using the Eau Micellaire water to clean my skin in the mornings and evenings. I have never really used micellar water untill this holiday and I can now see what all the hype is about. Using micellar water is so fast and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and surprisingly clean. One of my worries was that my skin wouldn’t be properly cleaned, using micellar water, and I would have a break out but I haven’t. I am really impressed and will definitely be using micellar water more often now.

My makeup favourite has been the Liz Earle Sheer Lip Gloss in the colour petal. I decided to take a few lip gloss on holiday, as Portugal has a hot/dry climate I was worried my lip stick could melt in this heat. The sheer lip gloss has by far been my favourite lip gloss this holiday. It is a beautiful colour, sheer light pink with a slight shimmer running through it, making it ideal for any occassion. It makes your lips look lovely and healthy without having too much colour on them and it feels nice and hydrating on your lips. I know some lip glosses can feel really sticky on your lips but this one doesn’t and it also last for a while too.

Moving on to my body product favourites:

Soap & Glory: Flake Away

Soap & Glory: The Righteous Butter

Ultrasun: Extreme SPF50+

When I go away I find it is the perfect opportunity to test out products as I normally buy them in travel sizes. But firstly I wanted to talk about a new formulation of suncream I am using. I have been using Ultrasun for about 5 years now and I have always used their SPF50  face suncream and I am still using it today. When I first started using Ultrasun I started off with the SPF50 sports spray, which is for you body and is more of an oily texture, and after a few years I decided I didn’t really get on with it so I am now using a cream formulation instead. The Extreme SPF50+ cream is amazing, the formulation is like a normal suncream, and rubs into your skin quickly without any residue. I have used this suncream all day without reapplying it, even after going into the sea, and haven’t burnt at all. If you are fair-skinned like me and need a suncream that will effectively protect your skin no matter what you are doing during the day than check out the Ultrasun range.

Moving onto the Soap & Glory range. This holiday I have been testing out the Soap & Glory Flake Away and have absolutely loved using this product. I have a whole blog post dedicated to it, link at the bottom. I love the texture and smell of this product, is smells of peaches due to the peach seed powder ingredient. It also contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, sea salt and sugar, which all help to make a spa like product that does wonders for your skin. To find out more check out the blog post A Body Polish You Need to Try.

The next Soap & Glory product I have been loving this holiday is The Righteous Butter, which I have used before this holiday, but it is amazing. This body butter is a bit lighter in texture than  most body butters I have tried before, so it is perfect for when you need some extra moisture to a normal body cream. This body butter has softening shea butter and aloe vera in it and also has the original pink fragrance scent, which I love. When you are on holiday and your skin is exposed to a lot of sunlight and heat, your skin dries out quickly so moisturising is extremely important. I find The Righteous Butter is perfect to help keep your skin moisturised and stop you peeling when you are tanning.

My final favourite is two bracelets from Dorothy Perkins, that I purchased last year in the sale. I absolutely love these two bracelets as they have sentimental value but they are also go with any outfit, making them a perfect accessory. The two initials stand for my Finacés and my name. The bracelets are made to look like rose gold and I love wearing them in the evenings as they add a lovely tough to any outfit.

So there you go that’s what I have been loving this holiday. Do you have any favourites from your holidays this year?
