It’s getting to the end of August so I thought it was time to do a summer favourites blog post. I have tried a few different products this summer that I wanted to share with you all, and I obviously have products I go back to every summer because they are just amazing.
A few of these products have been featured in another blog post, but it just shows how much I love them. So let’s get into it.
Eau Micellaire by My Little Beauty Box
Starting off with skincare, I had to show you the micellar water I am currently loving. Before this summer I had used micellar water on and off and normally just stuck to my favourite Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish. When I travelled to Portugal this summer I decided to take micellar water for my cleanser and was amazed by how well it worked. Micellar water is so quick and easy to use whilst completely cleaning my skin and leaving it feeling refreshed. I will definitely be using it a lot more now as it is so gentle on the skin but just as effective as any other cleanser.
Eyebright by Liz Earle
Liz Earle’s Eyebright is a lifesaver when I am on holiday as it is the best eye lotion I have tried. This product is a liquid that you put onto a cotton wool pad and then place on your eyelids. I use this in the morning when my eyes feel swollen, due to really hot temperatures, and by using Eyebright my eyes reduce back to normal size within minutes. This product has Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, and Eyebright alongside other natural ingredients that help to clean and revitalise the delicate areas around your eyes. If you really want to cool and refresh your eye area then store this pot in the fridge, whenever you want to use it, it will be lovely and cool.
Moisturising Lip Balm by Carmex
In the summer I always suffer from dry lips as the sunshine is very harsh on them. I like to use Carmex all year round, making sure to use it whenever my lips feel dry. I also always apply this lip balm before I go to sleep every night. This then means that your lips can get a boost of moisture during the night without disturbance of you using your mouth. Another tip is if you get dry lips try to look for lipsticks and glosses that are moisturising. Matte lipsticks can tend to be drying but the one I love at the moment is the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick. To see more about what I thought of this lipstick then read my blog post Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick Review.
Bath Latte by Zoella
I have been raving on about the Bath Latte by Zoella ever since I purchased it back in June. I absolutely adore everything about this product: smell, texture, packaging, and the number of bubbles the product produced. So let’s start with the smell, it smells of sweet almond and honey, and I love it. The Sweet Inspirations Range by Zoella was based around the smell of macaroons, and this product is no exception, it smells good enough to eat. Moving onto the texture, it is so soft and creamy making it ideal for baths and also in the shower as a body wash. If you like sweet-smelling products that feels luxurious on your skin then you need to check out this range by Zoella. I have written a review on the bath latte so check out Zoella Sweet Inspirations.
The Righteous Butter by Soap & Glory
This has been my favourite body lotion favourite list of summer. I have used this product in the past and loved it so I have been using it this summer as well. I find this lotion is ideal for when the weather is hot and you are starting to tan. When you start to tan you need to make sure you moisturise well, to stop your skin from becoming dehydrated and peeling, which is never a good look. This lotion has been formulated so that it is rich and creamy, but it feels ideal for hotter weather. I love the scent of the lotion as it always reminds me of summer, from the fruity ingredients.
Revlon Colour Burst Lacquer Balm: 105 Demure
When it comes to lips the Revlon Colour Burst Lacquer balm are my absolute favourites. The colour 105 Demure is a gorgeous summer pink with a hint of shimmer running through it. This is definitely a summer colour as it is quite pink and feels very summery. I love wearing this on a daily basis. The balm is lovely and moisturising and will stay for a few hours before it starts to come off. The lip balm would look lovely over a matt lipstick or you could put a sheer lip gloss over it to add some shine, a very versatile product. My favourite part of this product is the smell, it smells and tastes like mint chocolate chips, and I love it.
Dainty bracelet by ASOS
I picked up this bracelet from ASOS a couple of months ago, it came in a pack of three and all three bracelets are very similar, and I love them. I love the fact that they are very delicate and go with any outfit I am wearing. They are rose gold coloured making for a lovely metallic look that will work with most outfits. The only downside is that they are very tricky to put on so I get my Fianceé to help me.
Play Date by Essie
My final Favourite for this summer is a nail polish that I have been wearing so much. I love the colour of Play Date, it is a gorgeous lilac/purple colour that I can’t get enough of. This nail varnish has a lovely formulation and a super easy application. I would recommend using two coats to get a true colour, also use a base and topcoat to protect your nails and make the nail varnish last for longer.
So these are my summer favourites this year. What have been your favourite products this summer? comment below and let me know.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and had a lovely bank holiday weekend.

I haven’t tried using the gel nail varnish top coat over the top, I might need to try it. I always use the Nails Inc Caviar Top Coat, as my top coat, as it dries in minutes and gives my nails a gorgeous shine that last till I take it off. Yes go and get Play Date, it is a lovely colour that you will get a huge amount of wear from x
