I haven’t done a favourites blog post in a while so decided it was time to do a new one. Over the past few months, I have re-discovered some old favourites, bought some new products and found products that I love and wanted to share with you all. I have a bit of a mix so let’s get into it.
Garnier Ultimate blends Shampoo (delicate oats)
So to start it off I thought I would share with you a shampoo I recently bought and am obsessed with. When the winter months kick in, my skin, including my scalp becomes really dry and I have always found it hard to find a shampoo that helps with this. If you have the same problem as me then you need this shampoo, it’s amazing. Before using this shampoo my scalp was very dry and irritated. I starting using this shampoo about three weeks ago and my scalp feels amazing, it’s not dry at all and feels really healthy.
The delicate oats range, from Garner Ultimate Blend, has been designed for a sensitive scalp and fragile hair. The shampoo has no parabens in it and has been tested on sensitive scalps. It has rice cream and oat mixed into it to really smooth and comfort a sensitive scalp. I also have fine hair and this shampoo doesn’t weigh it down, which is so nice. Finally, this shampoo has a very delicate and subtle smell of cosy oats. The delicate oats range also has an amazing body lotion and soothing balm which are well worth trying out too.
Frosted Cranberry Lip Balm by The Body Shop
I picked up this lip balm in October when The Body Shop had a sale one and its one of my favourite lip balms now. Firstly it smells incredible, it’s a scent from their Christmas range last year and I’m so sad it’s not one this year. This lip balm basically smells like a pot crammed full of cranberries with a sweet edge to it, is lovely and Christmasy. This lip balm looks like a bright red in the pot but when you apply it to your lips you can’t really tell it’s tinted. I am really impressed with how moisturising this lip balm is, it lasts for hours on my lips. I haven’t had chapped lips since using this lip balm, which is really impressing as we have had some really cold weather. This lip balm is the perfect size to throw in your bag and use on the go.
Sheer Lip Gloss (Berry 03) by Liz Earle
I couldn’t do an autumn favourites without including a lip product. I hardly use lip glosses anymore, I much prefer a lipstick or chubby stick, but I really enjoy using this Liz Earle one. This lip gloss is a beautiful berry colour but is a more sheer colour so it is perfect when you want a sublet berry colour on your lips or if you want to layer it over a lipstick. This lip gloss is not sticky and can be layered to create a more block colour, which is perfect. I really like Liz Earle lip glosses, they have a lovely smooth consistency and last for hours.
Shadow Switch by Beauty Essentials*
If you follow my blog you will know I was sent this product about a month ago to try out and I absolutely love it, link to the blog post is here. This is a tool that I think anyone who loves beauty needs. It’s basically a stippled sponge in a tin which is used as a dry brush cleaner. Instead of having to use a number of brushes to do your eye makeup you just swirl your brush in the sponge after each eye shadow colour and it stops your colours from mixing in the palette. It’s an amazing product that saves so much time and avoids having to use loads of different brushes. I now use this every time I do my makeup and I am so glad I found this product. You can pick it up on Amazon for £5.99 and it’s honestly changed my life.
Par Amour Eau de Parfum by Clarins
I this is a perfume that I hadn’t used for years and recently found it again. I was given this by my auntie and uncle years ago and always thought it was a bit old for me. When I recently found it I was so happy and I love it now. It’s quite a wintery perfume as it feels very cosy with notes of balsamic, amber, woody, soft spicy, rose, warm spicy. I am just obsessed with this perfume and wear it everyday, it’s the perfect winter perfume for me. I have the 4.5ml bottle so it’s also perfect to travel it.
Homemade Hair Ties by Miss Ponytail*
So I was recently sent these beautiful handmade hair ties by a lovely lady in America. I have quite long hair that is very fine and I now never use hairband that have metal clasps in them as they are so damaging for your hair. These hair ties, on the other hand, are really good for your hair as they are just a piece of elastic fabric with a little knot at the end. I love the way these hair ties are the perfect size, they fit around your wrist and they also stay in your hair all day without falling out. Sometimes this simple hair tie design can loose their elasticity after a few weeks but these are still going strong after 6 weeks, which shows they are really good quality.
These two are my favourite colours but she has so many different colours and patterns to choose from. If you head over to her website www.missPonytail.com you can see all her different packs and patterns, she has some gorgeous Christmas ones too. If you follow Katie on Instagram and Twitter you can keep up to date on all her new patterns and deals.
So these are my autumn favourites, which I hope you enjoyed reading. What are your current favourites? Have you tried any of the ones I mentioned above? Hope you enjoyed this blog post, my next one will be going up on Thursday as I am doing Blogmas this year.
