I find it really hard to buy gifts for men and get something that’s not on their wish list. So I have put together a Christmas gift guide for men to make it a bit easier to work out what to buy for them. I have chosen a whole mix of items so there should be something for every man out there.
Amazon Echo, Black
To start off I think the thing on top of ever gadget obsessed man is the new Amazon Echo. This is a piece of technology that will change the way you use technology. The Amazon Echo is like Siri in the sense you can ask ‘Alexa’ questions and she will be able to answer them but also learn as time goes on. The Amazon echo’s main feature is playing any music you ask and play it 360 degrees around the device. Other features include voice recognition from far fields, even in loud environments or while playing music. Ask it anything, “is my train on time?” “Do I need an umbrella today?” or even “Add pasta do my shopping list!” This one piece of technology has so many features and its the must have gadget this Christmas.
Bags & Wallets
Herschel Supply co. Retreat Rucksack
Ted backer Mixdup Textured Leather Wallet, Chocolate
If you know a man who loves to travel or needs a good sized rucksack then this is perfect for them. My parents bought this for my Fiance last year and he loves it. It is a really good size and it very comfortable to wear, as the straps are really padded. It also has a lovely vintage design to it and it secures with a drawstring under the top flap. The base of the bag is reinforced so you can carry heavy items safely, additionally, there are two small pockets inside, a lovely smaller section at the front with a hidden zip and an interior padded 15″ laptop pocket as well. This bag has been made with every man’s needs in mind. It also looks lovely and comes in a couple of different colors.
Wallets are always a great present as everyone needs one but this one by Ted Baker really caught me eye. This wallet is made from two types of bovine leather. It’s also nice the way the Ted Baker logo is quite discrete at the bottom of the wallet. Inside you have eight card slots and two compartments for notes and receipts. It’s a lovely touch on a classic design.
Liz Earle the Gentleman’s Grooming Collection Skincare Gift Set
Eau De Cade Eau De Toilette by L’Occitane
If you know a man who likes to look after his skin then this skincare gift set by Liz Earle is perfect for them. I have been using Liz Earle for years and their product are all naturally sourced and really good for your skin. This gift set includes Face and Body wash 200ml, After-Shave Moisturiser 50 ml, Sensitive Shave Cream 100ml and the Washbag. It’s the perfect little set to get someone started on Liz Earle or for them to pamper their skin.
Moving onto aftershave and Eau de toilette’s for men. My Fiance loves to sometimes put some eau de toilette on and I love it when he does. If you know a man who loves to wear eau de toilette head over to L’Occitane is a great place to look as they have some lovely scents. My favorite is Cade, which is a very woody and spicy scent.
Premium Fleece Dressing Gown by Marks and Spencer
Barts Log Cabin Beanie, navy (John Lewis)
Marks and Spencer have some amazing dressing gowns, which I think a man would love to receive on Christmas day. They have so many different ones to choose from but I chose to include the premium fleece one as it is so soft. In the winter it’s nice to snuggle up on the sofa in a dressing gown and I think men secretly like to do this too.
My final gift idea is a beanie, this one is sold by John Lewis. Beanies are really in fashion at the moment as guys love to wear them for fashion but they also keep your head toasty warm. Most retailers sell beanies so there is loads of choice. You could even pop a beanie in a stocking if you wanted.
There’s my gift guide ideas for men, hopefully this helps you navigate the shops to find the perfect present for the men in your life. If you have any other ideas I would love to hear them down bellow in the comments. Make sure to check out yesterday’s blog post all about my favourite Christmas Movies.
Merry Christmas, Steph x
