Deck the Halls

This is our first Christmas in this flat so it was a really exciting process buying and workout out how we wanted to decorate our flat this year. We have a mix of old decoration with new ones we have brought this year.

The Christmas Tree

I absolutely love our tree this year. We choose to buy an artificial 6ft tree from John Lewis and bought some gorgeous cream and rose gold glittery baubles. We went for a very simplistic theme with fairy lights and baubles. My Fiancé was also got given a silver nutcracker a few years ago so we decided to put it on the top of the tree instead of a star or angle.

Home Decorations

Even though I’m 22 I still love the magic of Christmas and the story of Father Christmas. This lovely stocking from John Lewis is hanging on our bookcase as we, unfortunately, don’t have a fireplace. I recently picked up the sign ‘This House Believes’ from Matalan and knew I needed it in our flat. Christmas is such a magical time of the year and this sign sums it all up for me.

I like to keep it quite simple when decorating the flat over Christmas. I really like white, delicate decorations because they go with our neutral flat but I have also brought everything to life with fairy lights. I’m not the sort of person who will have loads of decorations that are all very bright and bold, but I know others like this look and that’s completely fine. Over the years I have been given little soft toys that are very Christmasy so I decided to pop them on our bookcase, I think they look really sweet. Finally, my Fiancé’s family bought us a little nativity scene inside a recycled fish tin. It is so cute and adds an element of Christmas traditions into our decorations.

Advent Calendar

Lastly, I have also put up my advent calendar from L’Occitane. I was lucky enough to receive this advent calendar from my parents for my birthday and was so happy. L’Occitane is one of my favourite brands and it’s lovely getting a new L’Occitane product everyday. If you want to ready my first impressions of the advent calendar then click here.

Hopefully, you enjoyed seeing my Christmas decorations and if you haven’t already why not take a look at my recent Blogmas posts.

Merry Christmas, Steph x
