Boxing Day Sales Survival Guide

I love going to the sales on Boxing day but it can be very stressful at times. Over the years I have learned a few tips and tricks on how to make the most out of the sales and also have an enjoyable time. I thought today I would share with you some of my tricks and hopefully, these will help you when you go shopping in the sales this Christmas.

Make a List

I always find making a list of what I am looking for helps me to make sure I get everything I need. Sometimes I will list down shops I know have good sales on or items I know I want to buy. Having an idea of what you are looking for saves time and means you go in with an idea of what you are looking for and aren’t disappointed at the end of the day.

Check to see what discounts there are

If there is a certain item you want to buy in the sales and they sell it at various shops then it’s  a good idea to have a look online first to see where the best price for the item is. There is no harm in shopping around, it usually ends up with you getting the item at its best price.

Be prepared for busy shops

Boxing day or after Christmas sales is one of the busiest times of the year and everyone will be heading down to the shops. If you want to miss the busy rush then maybe head out early in the morning or late in the afternoon, after the morning rush of people. You may find items get further discounted in the afternoon, but there will be less of them. All the shops will be busy but just go with the flow and enjoy yourself.

Have a look online

A lot of retailers will have online sales as well as instore. If you don’t like having to squeeze your way around shops and deal with busy streets then why not do some shopping online. Sometimes retailers will have better deals online and you can then do it in the comfort of your own home.

Hopefully this will help you if you are wanting to grab some great saving in the boxing day sales this year. If you haven’t already then why not check out yesterday’s blog post and I will see you tomorrow for my final day of Blogmas.

Merry Christmas, Steph x
