Wedding Planning Tips & Tricks

When is comes to planning your wedding it can be very daunting and stressful if you don’t really know where to start. I thought I would share with you some useful tips and websites I found extremely helpful.

Wedding Planning Websites

One of the first things I did was to look for a great wedding planning website. There are loads out there but I found Wedding Planner was the best. It covers everything from wedding suppliers to a wedding checklist. When you make an account you put in your wedding date, budget and can then customise the wedding checklist to suit your wedding. You then have a countdown of the days and weeks to your wedding as well as the checklist for each month leading up to your wedding. It’s a great way to start planning!

Wedding Planner Book

If you prefer to look at everything on paper then why not buy a wedding planner book. These are a great way of keeping organised and also having everything in one place. There are so many different designs and styles out there so I’m sure you will find one to suit your wedding. The advantage of a Wedding Planner Book is that you get to keep it to show your children one day!

Organisation

Being organised and on top of what needs doing would be my top advice to you. You will find that if you want to keep on top of everything when planning a wedding certain things will need to be done by a certain date. For example, a wedding dress can take up to 9 months to be made and then you need another month or two for fitting so finding your wedding dress a year in advance means you will be able to have you dream dress and not worry if it will be ready in time for the wedding.

Enjoy it!

A lot of people can get very bogged down with planning a wedding and forget to enjoy the process. Planning a wedding should be enjoyable and will be if you set yourself time at which you want certain things done by. Obviously if you leave everything to the last minute then planning the wedding will get very stressful and you might not have a great choice. You may find things don’t or can’t get done by your set deadline, this may be ok, but to check with your suppliers etc to make sure you have everything ready on the day!

If you are currently planning a wedding or are newly engaged, then hopefully this will give you a helping hand. If you have any questions or content you would like to see on here then leave a comment bellow. Why not subscribe to my blog and be notified when I publish a new wedding blog post.

Happy New Year!
