I recently picked up a few beauty pieces that I have been wanting to try for ages and finally bought them. As some you know I am getting married this year so I am currently trying out a lot of different makeup to find my perfect wedding makeup look.
Concealer
Radiance Revel Concealer by Bourjois
I always seem to struggle with finding concealer for under my eyes so I decided to pick up this concealer by Bourjois, which says it corrects and illuminates. I have used this a couple of times and absolutely love it. I picked it up in shade 01, as I have quite fair skin but needed the concealer to be lighter than my skin tone to really lighten up my under eye. I love the fact this concealer is really creamy and doesn’t cake on my skin at all. I love applying this will a beauty blender as it gives a beautiful flawless finish but you could also create this look with your fingers if you don’t have a beauty blender to hand.
Foundation and Miracle Complexion Sponge
Nude Magique Cushion Foundation by L’Oreal
I really enjoy using quite a light foundation and tend to use BB creams a lot they are really moisturising and give a light coverage. I’m quite lucky in the sense that my skin is quite clear so I don’t see the need to wear heavy coverage foundation. Cushion foundations have been around for a while now and I find brought this one from L’Oreal, which I have had my eye on for ages, and I am so glad I bought it. This foundation has a medium coverage, which I would definitely say is buildable. I love the way this foundation doesn’t cake or stick to any dry areas on your face and it blends in so nicely. The overall finish is really natural, which is exactly what I am looking for on my wedding day, so I may have found my wedding day makeup base.
Miracle Complexion Sponge by Real Techniques
I have always applied my makeup with either Real Technique brushes or my fingers but found that sometimes I needed something else to help blend in makeup and make everything look a bit more natural. I decided to pick up the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, as I had read some many great reviews on it that I thought it was worth a try. I have been using the makeup sponge damp and it’s amazing. I can’t believe how easy it is to use and how much easier it makes applying foundation and blending in concealer. This tool can really work wonders and it will definitely be staying in my makeup kit.
So there are the few bits I recently picked up. If you have any suggestions for wedding makeup pieces then please let me know. I’m currently trying to find a good setting powder and makeup setting spray but don’t really know where to start, any suggestions would be amazing. If you haven’t already then why not go take a look at Monday blog post and hope you have a lovely weekend. See you Monday.
