It doesn’t seem to matter what season we are in my lips always feel really dry and flakey and I decided enough was enough. I have tried loads of lip balms in the past but have never found one that leaves my lips feeling hydrated and smooth for hours, until now.
I recently visited a L’occitane Store in London and came across the Shea Butter Organic Certified, which is a balm that can be used on your lips or anywhere else on your body that is dehydrated, dry or sensitive. This product is made from 100% shea butter, so you can safely say its made from natural ingredients with no nasty chemicals in it, which dries your skin even further.
If you want to know a bit more of how this shea butter balm is made and what benefits it has, then here a quote from the L’Occitane website:
“This 100% natural origin organic certified Shea Butter is extracted from wild kernels of Shea tree fruits. It is issued from Fair Trade with cooperatives of women in Burkina Faso. This irreplaceable beauty balm helps to nourish, protect, soften and regenerate dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin. Enriched with antioxidant vitamin E.”
I have been using this lip balm for the past 2 months and have noticed a massive difference in how much lips feel and look. I normally use this in the morning, after my skincare routine and then just before I go to bed. Sometimes I also apply it again in the afternoon if my lips are feeling a bit dry. I have found this is a great base for your lips before adding on your lip makeup, just let the product sink in for a few minutes before applying your makeup over the top.
This balm has a very different texture to normal lip balms because of the fact it’s made from shea butter. This lip balm becomes softer with the heat from your finger, so it can sometimes take a bit to soften up so you can apply it to your lips, especially in colder weather. This balm has no fragrance, is clear in colour and won’t melt in hot temperatures, making it ideal to travel with when on holiday and great for sensitive skin. It comes in a small metal tin with a screw top, which makes carrying it around with you so easy.
Overall this is by far the best beauty purchase I have made in the past two months, definitely could not live without it now I’ve found it. I would recommend going and taking a look at it in your closest L’Occitane if you can. Let me know down bellow what your best beauty purchase has been recently, I would love to know.
Have a lovely weekend.

This sounds like something I need to try. My lips are always dry ? the one I’ve found to be pretty good is Forever Living lip spf. It’s quite Vaseline like though but does a great job. X

This Shea Butter balm isn’t vasaline like at all, which is why I think I like it some much, as it feels more like a deep nursing treatment that you can use everyday x
