Wedding Mood Board

Throughout the planning of my wedding, I have found it really useful to have a mood board that incorporates everything I am looking for in our wedding. Having a wedding mood board means you can refer back to it when you need some inspiration and allows you to share ideas and thoughts with your vendors so they get an idea of what you are looking for on your wedding day.

I thought I would share with you some of my favourite wedding photographs in order to help you start to make your mood board.

So what do I include in this mood board?

You can include anything you like that helps you to visualise what you are planning for your big day. Here are a few things to think about:

  • Venue
  • Church or civil ceremony
  • Flowers
  • Suits & Wedding Attire
  • Wedding dress
  • Time of year / Time of the day
  • Style of photography you want
  • Colour scheme
  • Table decorations
  • Any wow factors like e.g. sweetie table, photo booth, live music

Use a mood board to record all your dreams and wants for your wedding. I created mine on my laptop but you could buy some wedding magazines, cut out images you like and stick them on a sheet of card and do it that way. You might find by the wedding day you ideas have changed from when you created your mood board but that’s fine, your mood board is there to get you inspired and allow others to see your vision of your big day.

Have a lovely week and see you next Monday.
