I’m Back! If you don’t follow me on social media then I have taken a mini break as I just got married, which is still sinking in. We went on a two week honeymoon but I’m now back. I thought I would do a honeymoon / Summer holiday favourites blog post, so let’s get into it.
Body & Skin Care
L’Occitane Shea Butter Range
Shea Butter is a great ingredient that really helps to hydrate your skin and this is essential when your skin is exposed to a lot of sun. It’s also great for making your tan last and preventing your skin from peeling. L’Occitane have a whole range dedicated to shea butter ingredient and I love them all. My two favourite products from the shea butter range is their hand cream and Ultra Rich Body Cream.
Usually shea butter products are used in the winter months as they are quite rich, due to the amount of shea butter. However, I find using the Ultra Rich Body Cream is perfect for when I go on holiday as it’s super moisturising, which is perfect when your skin is dehydrated from long exposure to the sun. I also find this body cream is amazing after shaving your legs, especially if you suffer from sensitive skin like me. I usually find rich hand creams are quite greasy, but this one isn’t and it sinks into your skin really quickly too.
La Roche-Posay – Anthelios Xl
I only recently discovered this sun cream, after seeing lots of blogger raving about it, and I am so glad I picked it up. I decided to go for the Anti-shine version, as I can get quite greasy skin in the summer, and have really been enjoying using it. I decided to take it on our honeymoon to Tenerife and loved using it compared to my Ultrasun face sun cream I was using before. I find a lot of factor 50 face sun creams are very thick and greasy whereas this one is more like a face cream consistency but with the same amount of protection.
Fashion
I don’t usually include fashion favourites but whilst I was in Tenerife there were two pieces I absolutely loved and wanted to share with you.
New Look Black Floral Print Frill Trim Maxi Dress
I picked this piece up just before our wedding, as I love wearing maxi dresses in the summer. I love how floaty and light weight this maxi dress is, making it perfect for a hot day throw but also ideal for cooler evenings too. I Just love the floral pattern on it and the detail frill on the neckline. There is a little piece of fabric around the waist which I love using to create a bit of shape and identify my waist.
Accessorize Colourful Bangles
My last favourite are these bangles that are perfect for accessorising any outfit. I got this set of bangles for my birthday a couple of years ago and I love wearing them. I love the way this set of bangle are all slightly different so you can mix and match the bangle combination depending on your outfit.
Hopefully, you enjoyed reading about my favourites this summer. I’d love to know what your favourites have been this summer. Look out for a blog post about my wedding day soon, with some pictures for the day.
Have a lovely rest of your week and see you next Monday.
