I thought today I would share with you where we went on our honeymoon, as some of you have asked for it. We decided to spend a few nights in the UK and then fly off to Tenerife for a week. We were lucky enough to have one of my grandparents pay for the accommodation in Tenerife, which was so lovely of them, and we spent the first part of our honeymoon in the Cotswolds.
Relaxing in the Cotswolds
It took us forever to choose where we wanted to stay in the Cotswolds, we wanted somewhere relaxing and quiet. We eventually stumbled upon Calcot Manor Spa and we were sold. Calcot Manor is a beautiful Country House with 220 acres of Meadowland and a stunning Spa, which I was most excited for.
We spent 3 nights at Calcot Spa and had the most amazing time. When we got to our room we had a congratulations card and two small boxes of chocolates, which was such a lovely surprise. Our room was very pretty, with a huge walk-in shower and lovely country style interiors. We were able to borrow Welly boots to go on one of their trails and take in the beautiful views and the surrounding countryside.
We wanted to make the most of being in the Cotswolds, as we both hadn’t been there before, so we explored the surrounding villages that had a very typical Cotswolds feel. One of the days we decided to venture out to Bath, a town I vividly remember and use to visit with family. We spent the whole day exploring the stunning town, it’s vast culture and admiring the extraordinary Georgian buildings.
Exploring Tenerife
For our second week, we went on an adventure to explore Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. We stayed in the south of the island, better known for its beaches and enormous cliffs. Our holiday here consisted of exploring every single inch of the island. We sailed the ocean to see dolphins in the wild, hired a car and drove to the giant cliffs, surrounding tunnels, local towns, and the incredible Tide volcano at a mere 3700m high, both during the day and at night, where the visibility of stars is amazing!
It was an incredible 2 weeks with my Husband, it was so much fun exploring, relaxing and making memories together. If you want to read about our wedding day then click here. Hope you have a lovely week and enjoyed your long weekend.

Glad you had a great time! The Cotswolds looks gorgeous, staying at a spa place would have been so lovely. Looks like you chose two great places to go to. 🙂

The cotsolds is a beautiful part of England to visit if you can. Staying at a spa hotel for the begining of the honeymoon meant we could really relax before our busy week in Tenerife x
