When the seasons change, I love going onto Pinterest and getting some interiors inspiration. It already feels like Autumn is here, with the leaves turning red and conkers already falling, I thought it was time to get some Interiors inspiration and share it with you all. I am going to focus on two rooms, the Living Room and the Bedroom, as these are where people spend most of there time in. You can easily inject a bit of autumn homeware to really change the look and feel of your home.
Autumn is when the nights start drawing in and the days get colder so the interiors become more cosy, with blankets, open fires and candles. I always spend a lot of time in our Living Room during Autumn/Winter with a candle burning snuggled up under a blanket watching my favourite movie. It’s really easy to get carried away and buy lots of new homeware pieces for each season, but you don’t have to. To really make your living room feel cosy and Autumnal look at purchasing maybe a few pillows, a blanket / throw and maybe a few candles to make your house smell amazing. Colour wise burnt orange, crimson, tartan and greys will really bring that Autumnal feel into your home. Faux Fur throw or pillows are also a lovely way to make your living room feel really cosy and inviting.
The Bedroom is another key area of the house that you will spend quite a bit of time in and it’s important you feel relaxed in it. Bedding is the easiest way to completely change the mood in your bedroom. Why not purchase some autumnal bedding, it could be a very subtle print but it will completely change the feel and atmosphere in the room. Knitted throws are very in this year, especially very chunky knits. If you are planning on buying a knitted blanket then you could look at buying one in cream or grey, this means you can then use it all year round instead of it being just a seasonal piece in your home. I also love dotting a few candles in our bedroom as they are perfect for lighting in the evening and fill your room with an amazing scent.
If you are still wanting more Autumnal Interior inspiration then head over to Pinterest, that is where these pictures are all from. I love using Pinterest as you can make your own mood boards with all your favourite photos, refer back to them and share them with friends. What’s your favourite homeware piece this autumn?
Have a lovely rest of your week.
