September Favourites

Today I thought I would do my September favourites. I have been trying a few new products recently and have fallen in love with them so this will be a mixture of new finds and items I just currently can’t get enough of.

Rimmel London – Sculpting Pallete by Kate in 002 Coral Glow

So starting with makeup my first favourite has to be the sculpting pallet from Rimmel.  I bought this products about 5 months ago and only really used the blush, but since coming back from holiday I have fallen in love with this bronzer. I love how this bronzer is a matt colour, allowing you to be able to use it as contour. I love using this to define my cheeks and as a lovely way to warm up my face after applying foundation. This product is so easy to blend  and is really buildable too.

Burts Bees Lipstick in 501 Blush Basin

This has been a new find and one I wished I had discovered earlier as I have been using this lipstick literally everyday. I had heard a lot about Burts Bees lipstick and finally decided to take the plunge. I find with my skin tone apricot/pinky nudes suit me better than a brown based nude, and I think this is why I love this lipstick. I find its so comfortable to wear all day and it has a matt finish, which I love during the winter.  This lipstick has a lovely creamy texture and doesn’t have a strong scent to it, which I love. I will definitely be purchasing more of these as there is a large range of colours to choose from.

Boots 3-Minute Clay Mask

This is by far my favourite face mask from a drug store, I got amazing results for just £1.50. I absolutely love this clay mask and use it every week to clear my skin of all the impurities that have built up over the week. Even though this mask is clay based I don’t find it leaves my skin feeling dehydrated and uncomfortable, like other clay masks can. This product has cucumber in it so it’s gentle on your skin and smells really fresh. I also find that my skin can become quite oily but this face mask helps to clear out excess oils. I do sometimes find I will get a spot after using this but you expect that as it is clearing out your skin and your body is doing exactly that through a spot.  I now swear by this product and it certainly doesn’t break the bank, which is amazing.

Soap & Glory – Sugar Crush Hand Food

I use hand cream religiously every night and I have always switched between l’occitane and the Original Hand Food from Soap & Glory. A few months ago I picked up the Sugar Crush version of Hand Food and it sat in my beauty box until a few weeks ago when I decided to give it a try. I have really been enjoying this hand cream. I love the smell of it, it would have been amazing to use during the summer as it smells of freshly squeezed limes. It has the same formulation as the original Hand Food, which is quite thick but sinks into our hands within a minute. I really don’t like greasy hand creams and this doesn’t leave any residue just soft nourished hands.

Hair care

Tresemme Runway collection Make Waves Creation Hairspray

When I got my hair cut into a long bob I decided it would go and buy some new hair products to help style shorter hair. I have quite fine, soft hair so curling my hair never works because after a few hours the curls have all dropped. I also struggle with getting volume into my hair. One of the products I purchase was a light weight hairspray to help curls hold there shape. I am now obsessed with this, I use it every time I curl my hair and it has made a massive difference. If  I want curls to last last all day but with a bit of drop I spray this all over the curls and they will stay. To have a perfect hairstyle all day I would need to use a stronger hairspray. I love how build-able this product is and it doesn’t leave your hair feeling crunchy, which I really hate. This hairspray also doesn’t smell too bad either, which is always a bonus.

So there are my September favourites. Let me know what products you have been loving too. I am going to try and do a favourites every month, depends on if I have enough items or not. I have also just uploaded Our Little Honeymoon Vlog so if you want to see where we went, sneak peek we saw dolphins, then why not go take a look.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and see you again on friday

Steph x

I recently got sent the Rimmel Sculpting Palette, and I am loving it so far also! The bronzer shade isn’t too dark that it leaves a mucky line across your face which is brill. X

Yeah it’s just the right shade to give you a bronze glow but also double up as a contour too, which is brilliant x

The Rimmel sculpting palette is definitely one of my favorites as well! Easy to blend, work with and love how compact it is.
