Skincare is on of my favourite areas to blog about as it makes a huge impact on how your skin looks and feels, which in turn affects how we feel. Today I thought I would share with you my top 5 skincare products that I can’t live without and use on a regular basis.
The Body Shop – Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I discovered this product about a year ago and it always seems to amaze me with how it literally melts away my makeup at the end of a long day. I will sometimes go back to using micellar water and immediately regret it because this cleansing butter is very gentle but effective. This product goes onto your skin as a creamy butter texture and then turns milky once you add water. I love that this products comes in a tin, it makes transporting it so easy as its a solid balm that melts with the heat of your fingers. It smells amazing and is so gentle that it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all, which a lot of products do. Due to the oily texture you skin is left feeling really hydrated and super soft, which is so nice. If you do have oily skin use this as a first step in your cleansing routine, with the second part being a cream cleaner.
The Ordinary – Hyaluronic acid 2% + B5
I started using this product at the beginning of this year. My skin always becomes dryer in the winter, and I wanted to see if this product really works. I started by using it every night before bed and within a month my skin overall felt so soft and looked so much healthy. Hyaluronic acid helps to hydrate not just the top layer of skin but the under-layer of your skin too. By getting hydration to these bottom layers of skin you will find your skin will look healthier and stay moisturised for a lot longer. The ordinary is such an affordable skincare brand and their products are amazing, well worth checking out.
Kiehls – Midnight Recovery Concentrate
I use to suffer from a dry patch on my T-zone and this product has managed to completely change my skin. I had heard so many amazing reviews on this product I decided to take a trip to Kiehls and they very kindly gave me a sample to try out at home. I started using this product last year, too see if it could help to prevent my dry patches from getting worse. The results were amazing, with in a few weeks my dry patches hasd all cleared up and my skin felt amazing. This sample lasted at least a month, which was enough time for my skin to be completely transformed. I love using this product at night as it smells so relaxing and works wonders over night, it’s soon time to purchase it.
La Roche-Posay – Effaclar Duo
This is an amazing product if you suffer from spots or acne. A few weeks ago, a good few spots suddenly decided to appear on my chin out of nowhere. I usually have quite clear skin so I decided to try out this product, as I had received it as one of my samples in a recent feel unique order. I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and have been amazed by how much my skin has cleared up. I have nearly run out of the sample but I am going to purchase one before it runs out as I cant wait to see the end results. A lot of people have said this product has dried out their skin but it didn’t for me.
Boots Essentials – Cucumber 3-minute Clay Mask
When it comes to face masks this has to be my favourite. my skin over the years has turned slightly oily in some areas so using a clay mask is a great way to clear out your pores and minimise unwanted oils in your skin. I love using this face mask once a week as its so gentle whilst at the same time being very effective at detoxing my skin. I love that it smells subtly of cucumbers and doesn’t dry out my skin to the point it feels uncomfortable. One of my favourite things about this product is it’s price, it costs £1.50, which is an absolutely bargain for how effective it is.
So there you go, those are my top 5 skincare products that I have loved using and have seen incredible results. I would love to know what your favourite skincare products are?
Hope you enjoyed!

I love that product by La Roche-Posay! I have had it for a few months now and it does wonders for my skin every time that my face is acting up. I have never tried anything by The Ordinary but the Hyaluronic Acid sure sounds good, might give it a try! x

You definitely need to try this product x
You have some good ones! Hyaluronic acid is a word I heard before that helps the aging process a bit slower, right? If I’m not mistaken. I also used to get dry patches that drove me insane, but thankfully now it is fine 🙂 I moisturize like crazy nowadays 😛
I tried the cleansing milk/balm and didn’t get in with it! I think I just have done it wrong because everyone loves it. May have to give it a second chance!
