I thought I would start doing a series on Empties and let you know whether I think they are worth purchasing or not, let me know if you like this. There are so many products that I test and if I finish one then it must be good. Over the past few months I have collected all the products I have finished and thought I would share my thoughts on them.
Chanel – Dimensions De Chanel Mascara in 10 Noir
I have never been very loyal to mascaras but then I received a sample of this mascara and fell in love with it. I loved this mascara so much I wore it on my wedding day. I love that the nib on this mascara is quite small and is very buildable. I naturally have very long and curly eye lashes so I like using a mascara that looks natural and defines your lashes. This mascara doesn’t clump and allows you to really define you lashes. I would definitely purchase a full size version of this in the future.

Sanctuary Spa – Radiance revitalising Super Serum
This has to be one of my favourite serums I have tried and I love the fact it is from a High Street brand. I am so sad I have run out of this product, I really enjoyed using it and you could clearly see results too. This serum is a creamy texture that helps minimise blemishes and brings dull and tired skin back to life. I used this in the mornings, as it smelt incredible and sat really nicely under moisturiser. I think this product is great value for money as it has lasted me 9 months and has a retail price of only £17.

L’Occitane – Light Comforting Cream
I usually stick to skincare that I know and love but recently my skin has been changing, more from dry to combination, so I decided to give this cream a go. I really enjoyed the creamy lightweight texture of this face cream and it was incredibly moisturising, which was great for when I was on holiday. I found that this cream sunk into my skin really quickly and didn’t leave a greasy residue. Overall this moisturiser was really nice but I don’t think it is great for my skin type at the moment.

Champneys – Sumer Dream Rewarding Shower Gel
I love trying out new shower gels but usually don’t stick to one brand, if something smells good and is on offer I will usually buy it. I bought myself a travel size Champneys Summer Dream shower gel and decided to take it with us on our honeymoon. I loved how it foamed up really nicely and left your skin feel lovely and soft. I felt for the price you pay for it I would like the smell to stay around once you have washed it off. It’s quite an expensive shower gel and I feel there are better ones on the market that leave you with a gorgeous scent long after taking a shower.

Liz Earle – Nourishing Botanical Body Cream
I have been using Liz Earle skincare for years and occasional in their sets they include some body care products. Over the summer I decided to give the Nourishing Botanical Body Cream a go. This body cream is the perfect consistency for body cream, and it has a lovely moisturising feel to it and an amazing smell. This cream doesn’t sink into your skin immediately, which did annoy me, but it does keep your skin moisturised and avoided my skin from peeling over the summer months. I have my favourite body creams and butters that I love and unfortunately this cream doesn’t match up to those.

Sure Maximum Protection Anit-Perspirant
When it comes to deodorant I am really picky. I use to use a spray deodorant but found that it had worn off through the day. I discovered Sure maximum protection antiperspirant about 3 years ago and haven’t looked back. I love that it is a cream deodorant that is dispensed though tiny holes so that you can choose how much you want to apply. They have lots of different deodorants in the range that target different needs (stress, sport, confidence, etc) I love that 24 hours after applying this I can still smell the deodorant on my skin, it’s staying power is amazing

Elemis – Revitalise Me Conditioner
My last empty is a conditioner that I picked up in a hotel about 6 months ago. I natural have quite fine hair so I tend to use moisturiser on my hair ends. When I buy a shampoo I will usually buy the matching conditioner, but I usually find conditioners quite similar but not this one. I have never used a conditioner that has left my hair so silky and smooth. It has made styling my hair so much easier, as there was no frizz, and my hair smelt incredible. Elemis Revitalise range simply smells like a spa. I certainly need to find this in store.
