Glossier: First Impressions

I decided to give into the temptation and purchase a few products from Glossier. I watched loads of reviews and read a ton of blog posts and finally decided to pick up the following three items. I wanted to try out some makeup, as I am very fussy with skincare and bloggers seem to prefer the makeup over the skincare. So here is what I picked up.

Stretch Concealer in Light 10

The first product I got was the stretch concealer in light. I have always used the Borjour radiance reveal concealer, which is a liquid concealer, and I was really interested to try this one as a comparison. I love the concept of having a concealer as a solid that the melts with the heat of your fingers making it so easy to apply and blend flawlessly. I have been really impressed with this product and love how light and silky it feels on my skin. Glossier is all about very natural and glowed looking products and this concealer is definitely that.

I love how smooth this feels on my skin and it actually has a really good coverage too, I have managed to cover up redness and spots, which really surprised me. You don’t need a lot of this product as it goes a long way. This concealer is so quick to apply and you don’t need any tools either, making it perfect to travel with or chuck in your hand bag when you are out and about. This product comes in three shades but i think they easily coverage a range of skin colours, which is perfect.

Cloud Paint in Dusk

I bought this product as I was very intrigued with it but wasn’t too sure if I was going to like it, I was wrong I love it. I have tried cream blushers in the past and never got on with them, but this one is different. It comes in a tub, which looks like a paint tube (love it!) and it is a liquid consistency. You don’t need much of this at all, as it goes a really long way and is very pigmented. I find applying this with your fingers is the easiest way to really blend the product in, as the heat of your fingers helps.

I decided to pick up this product in dusk, which is a bronzy colour, and I am in love with it. Sometimes its nice to just has a bronzed look, rather than contouring and then using a blusher. I love how healthy I look after applying this and it is definitely a dewy look, which I am in love with. It literally takes me 30 seconds to apply, which is so fast and means I can do a natural makeup look in minutes. There are 4 cloud paints ranging from bronzy all the way through to a lovely bright pink.

Balm Dotcom Universal Lip Slave in Original

The final product  I picked up was the Balm Dotcom in original. I was really temped to pick this up in the mint version but I felt if my lips felt sore I don’t fancy them tingling with mint. I have been using this most days and really like it. I have been using the L’Occitane 100% Shea butter on my lips, which is a really thick balm that is amazing for dry skin. I think I actually prefer this Balm Dotcom now. I love that it is a thick consistency but melts a bit on your lips and makes them feel moisturised for hours, which a lot of lip balms don’t.

I was really surprised at how thick this product is, at first I couldn’t get it out of the tube but I now know you just have to really squeeze. You don’t need a lot of this product and I love that it doesn’t leave your lips looking really greasy. You could easily pop this on your lips after doing a makeup look if you want a natural lip or wear it to bed and not have to worry about marking your sheets. This product has no smell and can be used on any part of your body that feels really dry. The perfect product to throw in your hand bag or take when traveling.

So those are the items I have picked up from glossier. Have you bought anything from Glossier? What are your favourite products and what would you recommend me picking up next.
