Crisp Winters Day

It definitely feels like winter is now here so I thought I would share with you some of my favourite things to do when it is a beautiful crisp winters day.

Make Homemade Soup

One of my favourite things to eat, when it’s freezing cold outside, is homemade soup. My mum has always made soup and I have always made soup ever since leaving home. My favourite is mixed root vegetables, which is so easy to make and tastes amazing. Once the soup is made I cut up some bread and have it for lunch, yummy.

Spend the Afternoon by the Fire

One of my favourite things to do in the winter is to curl up on a sunday afternoon and heat up by my parent’s log burner while reading or just chatting with my family. I love feeling the warmth of the fire on my back and hearing the logs crackle in the background.

Head out on a walk

I love wrapping up warm and heading out on a walk in the woods or at a nearby park. There is something so peaceful about walking through the woods with the leaves crunching under my feet. I always wear a ton of layers to the point that at the end of the walk I am too hot, but its so nice feeling toasty in your coat when the weather is freezing.

Doing some Photography

When its a frosty morning and there is a lovely clear blue sky I love going out and taking some photos. Nature looks so pretty with the layer of frost over it and the blue sky really helps. Just remember a pair of gloves otherwise you will freeze.

Watching my Favourite Christmas Movie

It’s got to the point where I am now watching at least one Christmas movie a week and when it’s freezing outside and I know  I wont be going out, I love snuggling down on the sofa and watching a Christmas movie. I know a few of you may say its too early but for me a Christmas movie is so cosy and I normally snuggle up under a blanket so i’m nice a warm.
