I bought and tested out quite a few new products last month and thought I would share with you some of my favourites from the month of November. My favourites last month consist of beauty and skincare pieces that have now become part of my daily routine and I can’t imagine not having them. So lets get into it.
Skincare
Oskia London: Renaissance Cleansing Gel
I recently wrote a skincare update blog post, as my skin has changed over the last 6 months, so I decided to invest in some new skincare pieces. One of the pieces I picked up was the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, which I have absolutely fallen in love with. I love that this product doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, due to its gel consistency and leaves you skin feeling clean but not dry. This product is around the £30 price range but it is worth every penny, I always think if you invest more in your skincare then you skin will thank you. If you suffer from Oily / Dehydrated skin like mine you will love this product. If you want to read a full review of this product them click here.
Make-up
Glossier: Balm Dotcom in Original
When Glossier launched in the UK I was on the fence of whether or not to try it, but as you can see I decided to give it a go. I picked up three products with one of them being the Balm Dotcom. I am very fussy with my lip balm, as I get very dry and chapped lips in the winter, so a lot of lip balms seem to make my chapped lips worse which I hate. I have been using the L’Occitane 100% Shea butter for about a year now and wanted to give this product a go and see how good it was. I was really surprised how thick this balm is, it can be used all over your body on any dry patches, but I would just use this on my lips. Due to the fact this balm is so thick it means your lips feel hydrated hours later and you only need to apply it twice a day. I picked it up in original but will definitely be picking it up in the other flavours too.
Glossier: Cloud Paint in Dusk
One of the other products I picked up was the Cloud Paint in Dusk. I was really intrigued by this product, as I had never tried a liquid blush before. I picked it up in Dusk as this colour is a perfect combination of a blush and bronzer. I love how quick and easy this product is to use and how you can easily apply it with your fingers, I sometimes use a beauty blender to help blend it if I put a bit too much on. The packaging is so fun and the product is super pigmented so you only need the tinniest amount to get a gorgeous subtle colour on your checks. I now use this everyday as it sits so nicely on a cream base and gives a very natural finish, compared to powder blushes and bronzers.
Bobbi Brown: Long-wear Cream Shadow Stick in Dusky Mauve
Moving onto eyes, this month I seem to have been obsessed with cream products. I have been loving the cream shadow stick by Bobbi Brown in Ducky Mauve. To begin with I wasn’t too sure about this product but once I worked this product out I fell in love with it. I usually just apply this product all over my eyelid and then blend out the edges with a fluffy eye brush. It’s such a simple eye look that you could create into a smokey look in the evening or just leave it for a subtle daytime look. I love how quick and easy this look is to create and it lasts all day. I am definitely turning into a cream eyeshadow lover.
Beauty Miscellanies
Oral-B: 3D White Luxe in Glamorous White
I never mention toothpastes in my favourites as I usually just buy whatever is on offer but I have been using this toothpaste for a couple of months now and have noticed a difference in how much whiter my teeth are. I have used a few whitening toothpastes before but none have given me results like this one. I love how clean my teeth feel after using it and I already have another one waiting to be used after this tube has finished.
So there you have my favourites for November. If you have any suggestions of good cream eyes shadows then let me know as I would love to try some more out. Hope you have a lovely rest of your week.
Merry Christmas!
