I can’t believe we only have a few days left of this year. 2017 seems to have flown by and this will be my last blog post this year so I thought I would end this year with a new skincare brand I have fallen in love with.
La Roch-Posay is a brand I have admired for a long time but had never actually given a try until now. You might already know that I suffer quite a oily t-zone at times and also have some scaring on my chin from spots over the years. The Effaclar range, from La Roche-Posay, has been formulated skin that is oily, has blemishes and is acne-prone.
Effaclar Purifying Cleansing Gel
The first product I have been using is a foaming gel cleanser that has been formulated for oily sensitive skin. This cleansing gel gets rid of all the dirt and grim that has built up over the day without disrupting the natural balance of the oils in your skin. This results in your skin feeling very clean but not stripped of moisture, which a lot of foam cleansers do.
I love how easy this product is to use and you only need a tiny amount of product, as it products a lot of foam. I use this cleanser every night in the shower and I can definitely see that my skin visibly looks clearer and looks a lot less oily the next day too. Scent wise this cleanser doesn’t really smell of much at all. I have also noticed that I haven’t had any spots since using this product. I usually get hormonal spots but for the past two months none have appeared, which is amazing and unheard of for me.
Overall I feel this Cleansing Gel is great for anyone who suffers from the occasional spot or full-on acne, and it is kind to your skin, meaning it is great for sensitive skin. You can trust this product to purify your pores and leave your skin feeling clean and fresh. I absolutely love this products and the results are amazing, well worth a purchase.
Effaclar Duo (+)
The next product is one that I have used a sample of in the past and is a great product to use along side the Purifying Cleansing Gel, if needed. Effaclar Duo (+) is a spot treatment combined with a gel moisturiser to help blemish acne-prone skin. This moisturiser has been formulated to reduce the appearance of spots, protects the skin from marks lefts from spots and controls shine. This products also helps hydrate the skin and your skin will look clearer in 4 weeks.
I have been using the product every morning and night, just on my chin, before my moisturiser and I have noticed a huge difference with the scaring left from previous spots. My chin look a lot clearer, as I mentioned I haven’t had any spots in 2 months, and the scaring has reduced significantly. I only use to get spots on my chin, however you could certainly use this product all over you face to help keep any spot at bay and generally keep your skin looking clear and healthy. You only need a tiny amount of this product, as a little goes a long way.
These two La Roche-Posay products have completely changed the way my skin looks and feels, which in turn has given me more confidence too. I love that I can now just wear foundation with no concealer on spots but also have no make-up days and love my skin. I had been struggling with an oily t-zone for ages and now I feel I have finally gotten it under control with a combination of this Cleansing Gel and a good moisturiser.
Have you tried La Roche-Posay? If so, I would love to know what your favourite product is and whether you have found great results from them too. I hope you all have a lovely New Years and thank you for another amazing year of blogging!
Happy New Year!
