Beauty Favourites of 2017

Today’s post is one I am so excited to write and share with you all. I discovered so many new beauty products and brands in 2017, with some fantastic high end and drugstore products, but all of which I can’t imagine not having in my collection. I have reached  for these products all year round so lets take a look!

Starting off with skincare, there are a few products I discovered last year, that completely changed how my skin looks and feels. I had a few problems with my skin becoming quite oily and dehydrated, so I was so excited to find some products that really helped get all these problems under control.

The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is the product I use to start off my every morning skincare routine. I love how quick and easy it is to use, whilst leaving your skin feeling clean and hydrated. I can’t wait to try more Oskia products in the future. La Roche-Posay is another Brand I had discovered in 2017 and was kindly sent some of their products. I love the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+), it has really helped clear up my chin, reducing a lot of my scaring and keeping any spots at bay. I use this religiously every morning and night and will be using it for the foreseeable future, for sure.

When choosing my top foundation is has to be Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, it’s the perfect base for a really a glowing natural makeup look. I tend to stick to a natural makeup look, so this base is ideal but also buildable if needed. I use this all year round as it works great with dry and combination skin, which pretty much covers my skin type. With a natural base I then loved going for a cream eyeshadow, something quick and easy to throw on.

The Bobbi Brown Long-Wearing Cream Shadow Stick is the product I always gravitate towards. The shade Dusty Mauve is perfect for a bronzy eye look and is perfect all year round. When it comes to lips the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy is one of my favourite lipsticks, so much so I wore it on my wedding day. I love how pretty the colour is, I do pop a lip liner all over my lips before applying it, just to give a more solid colour. This lipstick is so hydrating and just very me.

When Glossier  finally arrived in the UK I knew I wanted to pick up a few products. The Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk is a product I now wear all the time. I love it so much its the only blusher I now use. I love how easy it is to apply, I usually just use my fingers,  and it gives such a natural dewey look. For lips the Glossier Balm Dotcom Original tops every other lips balm I have ever tried. It’s so hydrating, leaving your lips feeling moisturised all day. I love that it comes in a tube, minimal packaging that looks really sleek, and it’s a lovely thick texture that isn’t sticky. Glossier is a brand I will be purchasing more of this year, especially the Balm Dotcom’s as they come in a variety of different flavours.

My scent for 2017 has to be Peony & Blush Suede by Jo Malone, I am just obsessed by it. This cologne has such a unique scent with top notes of fizzy apple, making it a gorgeous summery scent but I love to wear it all year round.

Finishing off with nails and the perfect nude of 2017 is going to Essie Ballet Slipper. This nail varnish is a gorgeous blush nude that makes your nails look so elegant, which is why I chose it as my bridal nail colour. It is also very long lasting, with no chips for at least a week.

I discovered lot of new beauty products in 2017 and I am so excited to see what discoveries I make this year. If you want to see what I got up to in 2017 then why not read 2017 in Review!
