The Nude Edit

I love buying and testing out new makeup pieces so my makeup collection has grown quite rapidly over the last year. Even with a lot of choice I always seem to gravitate towards my trusty nude makeup look, so I thought I would share with you my favourite nude beauty products. Enjoy!

Eyes

Starting off with eyes with the Laura mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Au Naturel. I only bought this a month ago but I have fallen in love with the formulation and colour of this cream eye shadow. I bought this as part of a set at Space NK and love all the other colours too. This product is a cream eyeshadow in a stick, which I apply a small amount to my finger and then blend it onto my eye lid. It has great coverage and also acts as a great base to powder eyeshadows on top for a more dramatic look. This product lasts all day without leaving my eyelids looking oily.

Cream eyeshadows are a create way to create a very natural eye that is quick and easy to apply. I tend to always reach for a cream eyeshadow when I’m going for a no makeup look or when I am in a hurry.

Another great eyeshadow is the Kiko Eyeshadow Colour in Smart 02, which is a pressed powder. I love how subtle this eyeshadow is when applied and you can wear it on it’s own or over the top of a base colour, to give that slight sparkle look. The eyeshadow is really buildable so you can have a slight sparkle to a full on party eye, which I love. This product is also really versatile as it can also double us as a powder highlighter too, perfect for traveling as you have a two in one product.

Lips

My default lip is always a nude, they are so easy to wear and go with any outfit I am wearing. I normally tend to wear a lipstick in the winter and my current go to is the Ted Baker Tinted Lip Balm in Light. I picked this up in boots in their sale and have fallen in love with the formulation of these lip tints. Firstly these are more of a lip stick as they are very pigmented but they leave you lips feeling so hydrated with a slight glossy look to them, which I love. The packaging is a gorgeous rose gold and they have a high end weight to them too.

For a lip that is more ‘your lip but better’ colour I would have to choose the Burts Bees  Lipstick in Blush Basin 501. This lipstick is more of a matt finish but still leaves your lips feeling hydrated without a glossy look. I love how this lipstick evens out my lip colour whilst leaving my lips looking very natural. The formulation of these lipsticks are lovely and last all day, which is perfect when you don’t have time to reapply during the day.

Nails

When it comes to nails I only have one nude that I absolutely love and that is the Essie Nail Lacquer in Ballet Slippers. I bought this nail varnish last year for my wedding day and became completely obsessed by it. I love the colour, it’s a pinky nude which just makes your nails look so natural and perfect. I normally apply about 3 coats to get an even coverage of colour and it lasts at least a week before any chips appear, with a top coat applied.

So that’s my Beauty Nude Edit. I would love to know what your favourite nude beauty products are.

Have a lovely weekend!
