With Mother’s Day just around the corner I thought it would be nice to put together a few of the favourite gifts I have found. I think it’s nice to treat your mum every Mother’s Day, my mum has done so much for me that it’s my way of giving her something back.
Beauty
John Lewis: L’Occitane Petite Hand Cream Trio Set £8.10
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant £28.00
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado 14ml £26.00
Aromatherapy Associates Miniature Bath & Shower Oil Collection 30ml £40.00
Sleep
This works Dream to Sleep Gift Set £34.00
Neom Organics London Tranquility Standard Candle £30.00
Neom Organics London Tranquility Diffuser, 100ml £38.00
Sleep is one of the most precious things once you become a mother. These are three items which will help your mum relax and get a good nights sleep. The first brand, which everyone seem to rave about, is the This Works Pillow Spray. When it comes to falling asleep quickly then a pillow spray is the way to go. My mum raves about this pillow spray, she says she falls asleep so quickly and gets a great night’s sleep too, which is what every mum seems to dreams of.
Secondly I wanted to talk about Neom Tranquility candle and Diffuser. Neom have a couple of different ranges of scents but my favourite has to be the tranquility range, it really helps you relax and unwind. You can light this candle or have the diffuser in your room during the evening and it will give you a better nights sleep with its ‘English lavender, sweet basil & jasmine plus 16 other essential oils’.

Stackers Mini Jewellery Box Lid, Blush Pink £20.00
Olivia Burton OB15WG10 Women’s Enchanted Garden Watch, Rose /White £82
Modalu Pippa Classic Leather Mini Grab Bag, Mink £229
Kate Spade New York Cameron Street Flora Card Holder, Multi £45
Mint Velvet Blocked Star Print Scarf, Multi £45.00
Blossom and Wild letterbox flower
There are so many amazing gifts that fall under this category so lets take a look. Starting off with jewellery / storage and I could not pick an Olivia Burton watch, they have some gorgeous designs, which I think any mum would love. This blush pink strap and floral face with rose gold detail would look gorgeous on any mum’s wrist and also means they will always know the time whilst looking stylish. If you mum has a lot of jewellery then a lovely gift would be a Jewellery Box by Stackers. This jewellery box has three different compartments with one just for earrings and rings. It would look gorgeous on a dressing table or chest of draws.
Handbags are something that a lot of mum’s wear all the time and most of the time aspire to a handbag they would love but its not at the top of the list or feels like too much of an extravagant purchase. Not all handbags come with a massive price tag, two of my favourite designer brands are Kate Spade and Modalu. Their bags are made beautifully and look gorgeous with some priced around the £200 mark. Yes this is still expensive but you could maybe combine their Mother day and Birthday together to really treat them with something they can use everyday. Another option could be a card holder, the one above is Kate Spade New York Cameron Street Flora Card Holder. Card Holders are a great when you only need a couple of cards and don’t need a huge wallet. This one has a beautiful floral design but there are so many out there to choose from.
Flowers are another great option for mothers day but how about a flower subscription that arrives through the letter box with Bloom and Wild. Bloom and Wild have about 10 different flower arrangements to choose from, which are all posted through the letter box and you can either buy them as a one off (prices starting from £30) or a one month / 3 month / 6 month / or year subscription (starting at £22 a bouquet.) If you know you mum loves to have fresh flower in her home then getting flowers sent to her every month is bound to bring a smile to her face and brighten up her home.
A Spa Day for Two
French Earl Grey Loose Leaf Gift Cube £7.50
Tea 2: Razzle Dazzle Purple Trio £30.00
The spa is the ultimate place where you can completely unwind and relax, it also makes the perfect setting for a girl day out. Last year I took my mum to a Champney’s Spa day and it was amazing, first time I had been to the spa and I need to go again. Around Mother’s Day a lot of spas are doing offers and packages to make your stay extra special, why not book in for a sneaky treatment for you both whilst you are there.
My last two gifts are very typically English as they are tea related. If your mum loves too then you need to go to tea two, it’s literally tea heaven. One of my favourite black teas there is the French Earl Grey, which you can drink black or with milk. It has a very delicate taste with it’s ingredients are: Black tea, flavouring, hibiscus, sunflower petals, rose petals, mallow flowers. Another great gift for a tea lover would be a lovely tea cup and saucer, my favourite has to be the Razzle Dazzle Purple Trio by Tea 2, the colours and pattern is lovely.
So there are my top gifts for Mother’s Day this year, with a mix of items from skincare right through to a Spa Trip. I would love to know if you have anything planned for Mothers Day this year.
Have a lovely weekend!
