Spring Wardrobe Wishlist

With clocks going forward in the UK, this weekend it means spring is finally here even though the weather doesn’t feel like it. Spring is one of my favourite seasons as I can start wearing skirts and floaty tops without freezing. I have recently been searching the shops for new items I wanted to add into my spring capsule wardrobe. I have found so many lovely pieces so thought I would put together a spring wardrobe wish list.

Tops

I tend to always buy a few tops in spring and I tend to still stick to long sleeved floaty tops or wear short leaves with a jacket or jumper over the top, if it’s chilly outside. I have picked out 4 tops I absolutely love and they are all from high street shops, so they won’t break the bank. This year pastel colours are definitely in and they are so easy to style too.

Dresses

Dresses are my go-to whenever the weather is above 15°C (60° Fahrenheit) any bellow that and I will usually shove on some thick tights underneath. As I am quite tall I feel skater style dresses or a dress with a belt help show of my figure and give me some shape. I tend to wear short dresses in the spring and maxi dresses in the summer so here are my top picks.

Jackets / Coats

Jacket, Blazer and light coats are essential for the spring months, especially on chilly mornings, but they also help bring an outfit together. I am obsessed with my leather bomber jacket but it’s quite thick. A great alternative is a suede biker jacket or even a soft pink blazer. Something you can wear without getting too hot and that is easy to carry if you need to take off. For me, spring is all about layers because you never know what the weather is going to do in England.

Skirts / Trousers

As I mentioned above I love wearing skirts in the spring and finally get my legs out of hibernation. My favourite type of skirt is a mini skirt (but not too short). I find they are so easy to style with a t-shirt, jacket and pair of boots, can’t really go wrong. On the other hand, I still love wearing trousers too and I have my eye on a ripped pair of jeans too.

Shoes

I am definitely the sort of person who could wear flat shoes every day, they are just so comfortable. I have wanted a pair of converses for ages, they just look so sleek with any outfit. I tend to wear covered shoes in the first stages of spring, April is renowned for its sudden outbreaks of rain that always appear from nowhere, but when the weather heats up I then live in ballet pumps or Espadrilles.

Have a lovely weekend!
