With Summer holidays just around the corner I thought I would share with you my travel beauty essentials for hand luggage. I tend to have a little bag packed in my wardrobe so when ever we go on holiday I can get it out and have them all ready to go.
I always take travel size products with me, or decant some of my favourite products into small pots, it makes packing so much easier and your bags lighter too. All the products bellow would be taken on a short-haul flight to warm destinations, as we tend to normally travel to European countries.
Skincare
Starting off with skincare and the first products is the L’Occitane Gentle Toner Enriched With Shea. This is one of those products I tend to use a lot on holiday and not so much at home. This products is a gorgeous toner, especially for hot countries. I love using it in my morning skincare routine but also to top up my skin throughout the day, as its so hydrating and refreshing. I tend to use this on the plane if I feel my skin is becoming a bit tight, due to the air conditioning and lack of moisture in the air. One thing I have learnt with flying is never put on hyaluronic acid before getting onto a plane and because it will dehydrate your skin, as there is no moisture on planes for your skin to absorb.
The next item I always take is a L’Occitane Verveine Refreshing Cloth, just in case I ever need it. Refreshing clothes are great for when you arrive in a destination and want to quickly freshen up before carrying on with your day. There are so many different brands who do this sort of product, but I love the scent of Vervine so alway have one of these on hand. Along with refreshing clothes I always take hand sanitiser too, just in case you need to washing you hands but don’t have a bathroom nearby. You can always get wet wipes too that can be used on your body and hands, if you don’t like liquid hand sanitiser.
Suncream is essential for traveling, especially for my fair skin, so I always take my La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL 50+ SPF Anti-Shine, in my hand luggage so as soon as I arrive I can thrown some on my face. I always wear factor 50+, even in England, and I still get a good tan it just gives your skin the extra protection. Along with my suncream I always make sure I have my sunglasses packed too, my current favourite are these by Guess.
Moving onto hands and I always pack a mini hand-cream from L’Occitane. L’Occitane Verveine Cooling Hand Cream Gel is one of my favourite hand creams, it smells incredible and has a lovely cooling effect. Even though this hand cream is a gel texture I find it’s still very hydrating, without feeling greasy on the hands. L’Occitane is a great brand to look at for hand cream they have lots of different scents and formulations, depending on what you are needing out of your hand cream.
Lips
Moving onto lips and a lip balm is essential for traveling, my lips get so dry on planes. I recently discovered Nivea Hrdro Care SPF 15 and have found it’s brilliant for traveling and really affordable too. I love how hydrating this products is as well as its lasting power, it last on my lips for a good 4 hours even with drinking. It has SPF 15 in it so it will give you some protection against the sun, which is always good. I also love that this lip balm has no scent and feels really balmy on the lips and it doesn’t melt when your in hot countries YAY !
My last beauty travel essential has to be the Clinique Chubby Stick (Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm) 06 Wopping’ Watermelon. This product has turned into my favourite lip products on holiday, as it hydrating whilst giving you a sheer tint to your lips. I love throwing this on just before landing and I also wear it in the evenings on holiday. It gives your lips a healthy pink tint and it has a glossy finish, which I love for holidays. because its a tint you can wear it all day and it will gradually rub away whilst still looking gorgeous. The Clinique cubby sticks are also great for traveling as its a stick formula, so you don’t have to put it in with your liquids.
If your going on holiday soon then hopefully this blog post has given you a few ideas of what beauty products you could pack in your hand luggage. Wherever I go, unless its a cold country, I will always pack the above items.
Have a lovely week!
