My Everyday Makeup Staples

There are a few piece of makeup that I always reach for and they have ended up becoming my staple pieces and are my trusty favourites. If I am in a rush and need to quickly do my makeup then these are the products I will reach for.

If I am in a rush then I tend not to apply foundation, instead I just apply a bit of the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer. This concealer is brilliant for using all over your face, I find. It is suppose to be used under the eyes as it is an illuminating concealer, but I find its perfect for covering up any areas that need some coverage. This concealer is a cream consistency, which is so easy and quick to blend in whilst giving you good coverage. When I put on minimal make up I always go for a natural look, which is why the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer is perfect.

For cheeks the Glossier Cloud Plant in Dusk is my go to product, as it is so quick and easy to use. At first I found the product difficult to use, but now it is so quick and you can apply it with just you fingers. I apply a little bit to my fingers and then tap it in onto my cheeks for the perfect glowy blusher/bronzer. Dusk is more of a pinky brown so you could also use it as a really warm bronzer if you wanted too. The product is also really pigmented so you only need a tiny amount of it. I think Glossier makeup products are perfect for the natural makeup look.

With my minimal base done I pop some of the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye colour in Rosegold onto my eyelids and blend them in with a Real Techniques brush. I love using a cream shadow stick on days when I need quick makeup and they are also great for your handbag as you only need two fingers to apply the products. The caviar stick in Rosegold, is a beautiful champagne colour with a shot of shimmer running through it. These products are so creamy and blend beautifully with with your finger or a fluffy brush. If i have a bit more time I will pop on a darker powdered eye shadow in my crease to define my eye a little bit more, but I also love this look on it’s own.

To give my eyelashes a bit more definition and volume to put on some of the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir major Volume Mascara. This mascara is a great as I can quickly apply this to my top and bottom lashes, without the product transferring onto my eyelid. I love the formulation of the product, it is amazing at defining all my lashes and giving then a boost of volume. Another thing I love about this mascara is it doesn’t clump on my lashes, which is something I always look for in a mascara. I am also obsessed with the packaging, as somehow it makes the mascara so easy to hold.

The last products I apply is always a lip stick or cream, depending on what I am doing throughout the day. If I want more of a matt lip then I will always reach for the NYX Soft Matt Lip Cream in Cannes. I am completely obsessed with the product at the moment. I’ve never really enjoyed matt lip creams until I found this products. I love the formulation of this it’s really creamy on the lips and then drys down to a beautiful matt, which is really comfortable and not drying on the lips. This lips cream also smells of vanilla, which I love and the colour is a bit deeper than a typical nude so it give my look a pop of colour.

If i am looking for more of a lipstick look then I’ll tend to grab the Burts bees Lipstick in Blush Basin. I have been using the lipstick for a while now and I love that its a really creamy formulation with a satin finish. This lipstick will obviously last a bit less than the lip cream so I will usually throw it in my bag so I can reapply throughout the day. I think Burts Bees is a great brand for lipstick as they are made from natural ingredients that help leave you lips feeing hydrated after use. I also think they have a really good colour range too.

These two lip products are similar in colours but they give really different looks, which I love. I am always making slight changed to my everyday makeup staple but these are my current go-to’s.

Hope you have an amazing weekend!

I’m dying to try products from Glossier! <3 I'm not willing to pay all kinds of taxes and fees, but I know they'll be making a site where I can get their products from – so I guess I just gotta wait hahaha 😀
