Winter Pampering Time

IMG_0086IMG_0087

Winter is one of my favourite seasons when it comes to pampering, as your skin is normally craving a bit more attention. In the winter months my skin, like most people’s, craves moisture and needs a bit more exfoliation too. I have found a few products that I always go back to time and time again, when it comes to a Friday night or Sunday evening pamper session. I have mentioned my skincare pamper routine a couple of times before on my blog, so I thought I would also share with you a selection of beauty products I love using.

Setting the Mood

A good pamper session feels so much more relaxing when you pop on some music and light a candle. I am a bit of a candle addict, so I always have a couple of candles going at any given time. If I want to completely unwind and relax I love burning the This Works Lavender & Roman Camomile Candles, it literally smells like a spa. I have to say anything with lavender in it really helps me to unwind and relax. Another candle I love burning, when I want more of a clean scent, is the DW Forest Leaves Candle (picked this up in TK Max recently.)

Skincare

Every pamper routine includes some sort of mask and exfoliation, as this freezing weather is really affecting my skin. I have been using a combination of moisture masks and serums, which has made a noticeable difference in my skin. Exfoliation wise I am using a a combination of Dermalogica Superfoliant and the Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. I try and use the Dermaoligca Superfoliant at least once a week, this really helps to buff off any dead skin cells and helps reduce breakouts. I then like to use the Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum a couple of times a week, as this is a acid exfoliator that helps resurface your skin.

After exfoliating I then like to use a really hydrating mask, with the *Lumene Hydration Recovery Aerating Gel Mask. This mask is perfect for when your skin is feeling really tight and dehydrated. I love using this products as an overnight treatment, as I feel you get the most out of the product. Lumene is a Finnish brand who have specialised in incorporating some of the best Nordic ingredients into their products.

Taking Care of my Nails

A lot of use forget to look after our nails, even though we really should. Every now and again I will apply a treatment on my nails, to help them stay strong and flake-free even in the coldest of UK weathers. My go-to products is the Nails Inc Superfood Base coat. which has worked wonders on my nails. I love that you can use these products as a treatment or just use is as a base coat, with that extra nourishment. Painting my nails is something I like to do when I have a spare hour or two, and I weirdly find it really relaxing. My current go to nail varnish is the Nails Inc Gel One coat in Piccadilly Court. this is a gorgeous deep red, which would also make an amazing Christmas nail colour.

I would love to know what your favourite pamper products are for the winter months.
