With the spring months just around the corner it’s time to switch up my everyday makeup stack and inject a few new pieces into it. If you have read some of my recent posts you will know that I have been giving Beauty Pie a try and have fallen in love with lots of their makeup pieces (Here it is if you missed it.)
At the moment I’m really into minimal makeup, that looks really natural and is really quick and effortless. I have also now gotten to a place where my skin looks nearly blemish free, so I don’t feel I have to cover it up. This has resulted in not having to use foundation anymore and using a tinted primer instead. Its so nice to have a much lighter base.
Base
Starting off with my base which currently consists of the Beauty Pie All-in-Wonder Illuminating Primer. This product is so nice to use and has amazing coverage for a primer. I picked this up in the lighter shade (Nude Glow) and it’s perfect for my fair skin tone, but I can imagine it would work nicely for a range of skin tones, especially if you use this primer under foundation. If you like a fresh dewy base then you will love this product. I tend to only need one pump to cover my face. I like to apply this product with my fingers and then blend it in with a damp beauty blender. I have never found a tinted primer I have loved until now, can’t see myself going back to foundation for a while.
I do still like to have a touch of concealer under my eyes and on any breakout with Glossier Stretch Concealer being my favourite. I started using this product a good year ago and then it got shoved to the back of my makeup draw. I recently rediscovered this product and it has made its way back into my daily makeup stack. I love the way cream concealer blends into the skin and leaves you with a really natural bright finish. I find the Glossier Stretch Concealer really helps brighten under my eyes and makes me look really awake, even if I don’t feel it.
Once my base is done I then add a bit of the Nude by Nature Natural Glow Loose Bronzer to pop a natural glow back into skin. My skin is definitely in need of some sun so bring on the summer. In the interim I like to use a bit on bronzer to give my skin a sun-kissed glowing finish. I prefer using a power bronzer to a liquid, I find they are easier to blend and I have a bit more control over how much I put on.

Eyes
For the eyes I find a cream shade is really easy to throw on quickly and gives your eyes a gorgeous wash of colour. My favourite cream eye shadows are the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour. They are really creamy and easy to blend with your finger or a brush, whichever is to hand. I have recently been enjoying the shade Au Naturel, which is a lovely shimmery taupe colour. A huge benefit of cream eye shadows is you can easily blend them in, you don’t get any fallout like with a powder eyeshadow, which is great if you end up doing you make-up in a rush.
Mascara is something I will never be without, you can wear it on its own and it already makes you look like you made an effort. The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara is perfect if you want to add volume and definition to your eyelashes without the clumps. The wand on this mascara is really bushy so it really helps to coat each eyelash individually, giving you a gorgeous natural look.
Lips
For me spring calls for a sheer nude lip and the Beauty Pie Lip Colour Balm in Baby Bare is perfect. I have literally used this lip colour balm everyday since I purchased it. This product feels like a lip balm with a gorgeous glossy nude tint to it. I have to say Beauty Pie tinted products are really good, love love love!
