I always find in the summer months I don’t reach for a lot of makeup, I prefer letting my skin breather when it’s super-hot. With that said, it’s always nice to have a capsule makeup bag so when I want to wear some makeup I don’t have to rummage through all my makeup draws. My go to summer base has been the Beauty pie All in Wonder Illuminating Primer in nude Glow. it’s literally the perfect base for any natural summer glowy look. I love that this product is a illuminating primer with a nice amount of light / buildable coverage.
In the Summer my skin is normally at its best so I don’t need a lot to even out my skin tone. If I need a bit more coverage I will pop on my Bourjois radiance reveal concealer in light. The product come in a pump tube, which makes it perfect for when you are on the go or traveling. The texture of this product is a light cream that literally glides over the skin and leaves you with a natural finish. This product is a primer but I think it easily has enough coverage to be a light foundation in the summer months. I love that you can’t tell that I’m wearing anything and the rest of my makeup sits so nicely on top of it. This product comes in two shades, I picked up the lighter shade, which works with both my summer and winter skin tone.
There are a couple of things I look for in a summer base. It has to be feel lightweight and breathable on my skin, I hate feeling like my makeup is melting off my face. I also like something that looks natural with a glowy finish. This product ticks all these boxes and means I haven’t reached for a foundation in months.
What base have you become obsessed with this Summer?

I feel like I need to expand my knowledge of make-up a little more. In the last year, I’ve probably remembered to wear primer once and it was this rubbish cheapy one I bought! I think I need to experiment a little more and use something like this!
