Four Products I’m Currently Trialling

I love trying out new beauty products, whether it’s a new purchase or products I’ve had in my beauty draw for a while but never tried. Recently I’ve been giving a couple of items a little trial and I’ve found some gems.

Starting off with a lovely summer moisturiser from Philosophy. I’ve only ever tried Philosophy perfume, which I love, but their skincare never caught my eye. A while back I was sent the Philosophy renewed hope in a jar water cream* and it’s really impressed me. It has a lovely lightweight formulation packed full with pineapple extract, hyaluronic acid and Norwegian glacial water to give your skin a hydration boost without the heavy formulation. This moisturiser literally glides onto the skin and is absorbed in seconds with no residue or shine left behind. If you have oily or combination skin this is well worth a look at.

Does anyone else dread taking off their makeup at night? I swear mascara is the worst! I’ve started using the Deramlogica Pre Cleanse Balm* as my first cleanse, in the evening, and have been really impressed at how it literally melts away all your make-up in a couple of seconds. I really like that it comes with a little cleansing mitt too, makes it feel like a little pamper session.

I recently resubscribed to Beauty Pie and one of the items I picked up last month was the Superactive Capsules Essential Ceramides +. I wasn’t too sure what to expect as I’ve never tried skincare capsules before, but I liked the concept of them. I love how easy and quick the capsules make my skincare routine, just grab, twist and apply the serum. You have the perfect amount of products already measured out, making it great for when you are travelling or in a rush. The only thing I don’t like about them is the consistency. My skin feels and looks very oily after applying, but my skin looks so healthy in the morning so in my eyes it’s worth it. The texture is something I just need to get us to. I tend to pop this on a night and put a moisturiser onto and in the morning my skin looks lovely a dewy.

The last product was an impulse buy from TK Max, to be honest, most purchases from TK Max are, and I’m not in love with it. I picked up the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Halo and it’s just the wrong shade for me. Halo has a purple tint to it and I need something more pinky I think. The drops themselves are really nice, you only need a tiny amount for a gorgeous highlight. I love that you can use this product in so many different ways and combine with other liquid products. TK Max always have some great beauty steals!

I have really sensitive skin and react to a lot of products so I’m always skeptical about trying new skincare products. I envy you guys!

That’s must be so hard to know what to buy. I suppose the best way for you to find new skincare is going to a counter so you can try it out before buying x
