With the end of the year finally here, what a year it has been, it’s time for my 2020 Beauty Favourites. A lot of this year’s favourites are based around self-care and my skincare routine, as there hasn’t really been much of a need for make-up. This year has also seen me become a mummy so trying lots of new products became non-existent for a while., but I’ve recently fallen back in love with beauty and tried lots of new products.
Make-up
I only have one makeup favourite from this year and it’s the *Beauty Pie All-in-Wonder Illuminating Primer. I raved about this last year for good reasons, it’s just the perfect base and tone for my skin. This year I’ve been lucky with the skin so I can get away with a light coverage base, but this primer is very buildable so great for a bad skin day too. I love using the *Beauty Pie All-in-Wonder Illuminating Primer as an all in one primer and foundation, applying it with my fingertips for natural coverage.
Skincare
I’ve tried to concentrate more on my skincare routine this year, especially before the baby arrived. There have been two products that have really stood out to me and I would now be lost without then. Firstly the *Lumene Nordic-C Glow Boost Essence Serum has made itself into my skincare routine and I now religiously use it morning a night. It’s taken me a while to find a Vitamin-C I love, but now I wouldn’t be without one. I’ve also recently introduced the* Foreo Luna Mini into my skincare routine a couple of times a week and have loved how smooth my skin feels after using it. Sometimes my skin needs a good cleanse and the Foreo really helps cleanse my skin and get rid of any dead skin cells. A brilliant little tool!
Haircare
Since having my baby my hair has really suffered, no one tells you how much hair you lose! So I decided it’s time to invest a bit more money into my haircare products to help bring it back to life and help with nourish it a bit more. I’ve started using the *Beauty Pie Detox Wash Shampoo once a week, to help get rid of any product build-up and help with my oily scalp (which I get at times). I’ve been using it for about 5 months now and my hair lasts so much longer between washes now and feels so much cleaner. For hair treatment, I’ve been loving the *Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in1 Styling Treatment, even if I’m not planning on using heat tools on it. My hair feels so soft and it helps tame any frizz.
Other
I love spritzing on perfume in the morning when I remember, and this year I’ve been loving the *Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette. It’s the perfect everyday perfume with its gorgeous floral/fruity top note and then deep base notes of cedarwood & musk. Can we also just take a minute for the bottle top, how gorgeous is it! It looks so pretty on my dressing table and smells divine.
*Loccitane Sheer Butter Hand Cream has been one of my most used beauty products, especially with all the hand washing that has been done this year. This is hands down my favourite hand cream of all time, it smells incredible and keeps my hands moisturised for hours on end. I tend to keep one hand cream in my bathroom, so I remember to use it, and then one of my bedside table. Worth every penny!
What’s your 2020 Beauty Favourites?

Congratulations on becoming a Mummy!! I’ve never tried beauty Pie before, but I know a lot of people rave about them, so I may have to take the plunge in 2021 and give them a go xx

Thank you for sharing. I’m definitely going to try the detox shampoo. I also have a oily scalp and products tend to build up easily. I need a good detox on wash days.

That’s exactly how I felt. Nothing seemed to really help get rid of product build-up and excess natural oils on my scalp. x
Thanks for sharing! I’ve used Daisy Eau So Fresh and it’s honestly so good! This reminds me to get it again.

It’s such a lovely fragrance isn’t it x
I enjoy reading these kind of posts because I am nosey and like to see what other people are using and whether I find anything I may want to try. I am currently in the process of moving over to cruelty free and vegan skincare and make up, so I am discovering a lot of new brands. Thank you for sharing.
