Last year I saw lots of people sharing what their makeup bag would look like if they weren’t a beauty blogger. I loved reading those post, it’s so interesting to see what being a beauty blogger introduces you too. So here’s my predicted makeup bag if I wasn’t a blogger.
Base
Starting off with a primer, I used to always use the *Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (hydrating). I tend to use it if I had a big event like my wedding day, but I loved how it created a perfect base for foundation. You can go wrong with Laura Mercier primers, especially when they have added hydration.
For foundation, I use to solely use the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. I only really went to boots for my makeup and I remember trying this in-store and loving it. I really like how buildable and light this foundation is, it was also my perfect skin colour match. It’s also one of the only foundations I found didn’t oxidise over the day.
For concealer, I think the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer would be my top pick. It’s a lovely drugstore concealer that provides a gorgeous amount of coverage will brightening under the eyes. To be honest even today I sometimes use this concealer. There’s just something about it that I haven’t found in another liquid concealer.
If I wanted to use a blush or bronzer I think I would be using the *Rimmel London Sculpting Palette in 002 Coral Glow. I used to use this palette all the time, especially the blush as it was a gorgeous soft blush shade. I have a feeling I would have dabbled in using bronzer and highlighter but not used it all the time. This palette is powder-based, which works so naturally over the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. A great little palette.
Eyes
For eyeshadow, I think the Revolution Ultra Professional Eyeshadow Beyond Flawless would be my only palette. Firstly the colour selection in this palette is gorgeous, I love a good subtle eye or brown smokey eye. The quality of this eyeshadow is so nice, such a great drugstore purchase. The packaging is so nice too, but it is a huge palette packed full of matt and shimmery shades. With regards to Mascara, I don’t think I would really wear it as I used to hate taking mascara off. Since I became a blogger I’ve found some amazing cleansers that melt away mascara so I now use it all the time.
Lips
I think even if I wasn’t a beauty blogger I would have a mini addiction to lipsticks. I love a good nude lip and I don’t think that will ever change. As we are now wearing masks all the time I think my current favourite lipstick would be the *NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes. This would have been a very different purchase for me and I think I would have mainly stuck to shine lipsticks.
So that what I think my makeup bag would look like if I wasn’t a blogger. I’d love to know what you think your favourite products would be. I found this post so interesting to write, it made me realise how without blogging I wouldn’t have found so many incredible brands and products.

This is a really interesting post! It’s amazing how many products I’ve bought over the years because I was a beauty blogger such as Collection’s concealer and the Rimmel lipsticks

Yes, Rimmel Lipsticks are so amazing. I never picked up the collection concealer, but so many bloggers have raved about them over the years. I swear most of my present makeup bag now have been influences by beauty bloggers x
Loved this post! It’s so amazing to think how many of our purchases are influenced by bloggers or other people. I know that I probably wouldn’t have tried half the amount of products I have if it weren’t for bloggers and Youtube!

Yeah, I’m exactly the same. The great thing about blogging is your always exposed to new beauty releases and brands allowing you to discover products you ordinarily wouldn’t have come across x
This was such an interesting idea to share! I am not huge on makeup but am very addicted to lipsticks and been influenced plenty of times to buy even more! Love the colour of the NYX lipstick, thanks for sharing x

Yes, I’ve had the same thing. There are just so many incredible lipsticks that people share, it’s just so hard not to buy them all x
This is such a unique take on the beauty hauls I’m used to seeing. I like how yours is fairly minimal but contains all the essentials. x

I suppose even now I’m quite minimal with my make-up but I’ve built up quite a bit collection since starting blogging. x
I love this! Turning the whole thing around and keeping it honest but still very inspiring. We definitely don’t need and can’t wear the amount of make-up in a lifetime that some bloggers seem to go through per week. x

I really enjoyed writing this post. It just shows that your make-up collection can be really small and concise, whilst having all the products you need x
I always hear amazing things about the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams!

I love the NYX Soft Matt Lip Creams, they are so comfortable and great especially as we now have to wear masks. They also have a lovely range of shades x
This is so interesting! I’m not a beauty blogger and my collection is very limited. I only have one of everything haha My absolutely must-have’s for makeup is lashes and foundation! The rest I could live without. Thanks for sharing x

I think that’s the interesting thing about makeup, everyone had their own must-haves. I think having a very limited collection is so much better, you than know you will be able to use all the products up rather than having lots of wastage x
Oh this is actually such a fun post! I find it so hard to say how my collection would look like if I wasn’t a blogger… I feel like it would be smaller but I just love beauty so I think it would’ve looked very similar to how it looks now. I do think I would’ve emptied products easier though – now I have too much to choose from lol.
