Valentines Day will be slightly different this year, especially as we are in a lockdown. This doesn’t mean that we can’t still make the most out of the day and use it as an excuse to wear a bit of make-up and get out those comfy leggings. With this in mind I’ve put had a dig through my makeup collection and put together a little Valentine’s Day Makeup Look. A very simple look with a gorgeous red lip.
Even though it’s Valentines Day let’s be honest I want my makeup look to be quick and easy. I haven’t worn makeup properly in about a year, so a light base is a must. I love the Beauty Pie All-In-Wonder Illuminating Primer, gorgeous light coverage to even out my skin tone. The Glossier Stretch Concealer has become my next best friend since having our little boy. I tend to pop a bit of this under the eyes helps me looks like I’ve had a full nights sleep. A good trick is to buy a concealer one shade lighter than your skin for under your eyes. It really helps brighten under your eyes and makes you look more awake.
A Sparkly Eye
For my eyes, I want to keep it quite simple with a sweep of Narz Orgasm Highlighter all over the eyelid. This highlighter gives you a gorgeous wash of golden shimmer. I tend to leave it quite sheer, but you can go as bold as you like. Once I have given my eyes a little pop and definition, then apply the Beauty Pie Uber Volume Boost Mascara. It’s a great mascara for adding volume and definition with no clumping.
Lips
Before adding on my lipstick I always dap on a bit of lip balm. This helps keep my lips moistured and ensures the lipstick doesn’t get stuck to any dry skin. In the winter months, I find using a lip scrub before a bold colour really helps get rid of any dry skin and nourishes your lips. I’m currently loving the Narz Afterglow Orgasm Lip Balm. It’s very hydrating and a lovely lip balm to use on its own as it gives the lips a sheer wash of pink.
If you’re not going to wear a bold red lip on Valentines Day when are you! Springing my favourite red lip is the Ted Baker Tinted Lip Balm in Pillar Box Red. This is by no means a tinted lip balm, it’s full pigment red and I love it. The formulation of the lip balm is gorgeous, really creamy and doesn’t bleed. I would say it has undernotes of purple, which really compliments my fair skin and a gorgeous pop of colour for quite a subtle makeup look.

I doubt I’ll be making much of an effort for Valentine’s Day this year as I’m away from my boyfriend but this makeup look sounds gorgeous. I love the red lip – it’s such a classic look!

Boots use to sell Ted Baker Makeup in their Christmas Sales, a couple of years ago, I was so amazed by the quality of their products. I think you can get their beauty products over on their website now, but it’s a different range from what boots were selling. Thank you lovely x
