When it comes to hand creams I just can’t get enough of them. I use them all year round but I change which ones I am using depending on the season. With autumn starting to draw in I love bringing out my thicker hand creams to keep my hands moisturised and soft throughout winter. I find my hands can become very dry in the cold weather so I have a routine I like to follow to make sure my hands don’t get too dry and sore. I religiously use hand cream every night, and will use a thick hand cream for a large moisture kick. I will then also use hand cream throughout the day when I feel I need it. I want to show you my favourite hand creams for different times of the year. So let’s get into it.
Hand Food by Soap and Glory
Soap and Glory is one of my favourite brands, which I love and have been using for years. I absolutely love their hand cream, for me it is the perfect product for when your hands are really dry, such as the autumn and winter months. I love the name Soap and Glory have given their hand cream, Hand Food is such a creative way of getting people interested in their hand creams. This hand cream is creamy, thick and absorbs into the skin really quickly, without leaving a greasy residue on you skin, which I hate in a cream. The smell is also Devine, I recommed you have a smell of it at your local store. It has the “original smell”, like the rest of the soap and glory range and I can’t get enough of it. It smells quite fruity with the rose and bergamot ingredients. Try this out if you want a nice hand cream that will leave you with silky soft hands.
2 in 1 Hand & Nails Cream by Superdrug
I use to use this hand cream years ago and have just rediscovered it and I love it. This hand cream is for the summer months when the weather is hotter and you just want to give your hand a little moisture. I can’t get enough of the smell of this product, it is really difficult smell to describe but it’s quite fresh and comforting. This hand cream is light but lovely and creamy. You have to wait about a minute for it to properly sink into your skin but it is great as an overnight treatment for your hands. I use this every evening and wake up with lovely soft hands. If you have really dry hands I would use some of the other hand creams I have mentioned but this is perfect for keeping your hands in lovely condition.
Lavender Hand Cream by L’Occitane
I absolutely love this hand cream as it is like a field of lavender in a bottle, it smells amazing. This is another hand cream I would use in the summer or when you want to really relax. Once you have applied the hand cream onto your hands you can smell the beautiful lavender as you hands heat up the cream. I love using this on my hands, and then smelling them as it helps to calm and relax me. This hand cream has a very light and cooling consistency and sinks in lovely and quickly leaving you with amazingly soft smelling hands. It is just a beautiful all round product. If you are into this smell and cooling consistency, have a look at some other L’Occitane products.
Shea Butter Hand Cream by L’Occitane
My final hand cream is another one by L’Occitane and it is the ideal winter hand cream. As I mentioned before I can get very dry hands in the winter and this hand cream is a life saver. I love that it is made form 20% Shea butter making it beautifully rich and extremely moisturising for your hands. You don’t need a lot of this product but it works absolute wonders. Immediately after applying it your hands feel softer and then after a few minutes you can see you skin actualy looks softer and the dry skin disappeares. This cream is also amazing for sensitive skin, making it ideal for anyone to use. I prefer to use this hand cream before bed as it can take a while to sink in, due to the Shea butter and thickness of the cream. When you wake up in the morning you hands will feel refreshed and ready for the day ahead.
I hope this blog post has given you an insight of what hand creams I am currently obsessed with and need in the life. What hand cream to you love to use? Have you tried any of these ones out before?
